Verdant World is initiating, enabling and coordinating a wave of systemic change across the ecosystem of forest recovery organizations, supporters and donors. We foster long term global forest recovery by creating conditions that support an exponential expansion of coordinated actions.

Our Work

We catalyze systems change to transform the way the forest sector functions as a whole. We work with leaders to generate the ability to shift their organization’s strategic trajectory from one of proprietary linear incremental growth to one that contributes to shared exponential expansion. Together, with our strategic partners, we embrace a regenerative culture that reveals new strategies, adapts to shifting global conditions and exploits emerging leverage points quickly, generating positive outcomes and lasting impact at scale.

We engage with project managers and employ action research, active learning and dynamic strategy consulting to help them innovate their work process on the fly and maximize the environmental and social impact over the life of their project.

We capture the knowledge, wisdom and successful processes through our project partnerships and make the IP available through protected channels to expedite new project development and help ensure every new project is positioned to generate real and lasting impact.

We work with existing and emerging entities to engage regenerative processes that activate each organization’s unique capacity to lead sector wide growth by removing barriers to effective collaboration and enabling rapid replication of sustainable methodologies for forest recovery.

Network Facilitation

We connect leaders to open new opportunities for collaboration through knowledge sharing, project partnership and cooperative action.

We convene high-leverage conversations with targeted groups of key stakeholders that accelerate long term health and recovery of global forests. The goal of these gatherings is to partner with and develop conscious leaders to create effective pathways and catalyze action that would not have been otherwise possible. 

Trees Are A Good Start

The idea of a Verdant World is about who we are in the matter of recovering the world’s forests to a state of balance and vitality. We know that the planet’s ecosystem is in peril and that if we let it continue to decline we will continue to face grave and catastrophic consequences for humanity. We know that our species has the ability to affect brilliant and massive action. And we know that forests are a critical keystone piece of the diverse system of interconnected solutions.

We also know that just planting trees will not ultimately produce the full benefits of this important nature based solution. Achieving lasting impact can only happen when local communities embrace forests as a regenerative resource rather than just a commodity to be harvested. When this happens, a forests’ capacity for natural regeneration is activated, the ecosystem becomes restored and both humans and trees can thrive.

The good news is that making this happen is not complicated or even difficult. The biggest challenge is evolving the ways we work together for the benefit of the whole system. This is not something people naturally know how to do and the traditional organizational operating environment isn’t wired for this quality of cooperation yet.
